"Mirliton launched a new range of early medieval 15 mm figures. The Empire and Italy series covers the period from 1090 to the end of 1190 and features Frederick I "Barbarossa" and Henry VI. This turbulent period saw wars between the Holy Roman Empire and the Italian City States and was characterised by both Norman and Byzantine influences in arms and dress. The figures can be used for the Christian troops of the Crusades."
