Six months intensive training before you even think of trying this! :O)

Most of the players in the game were middle aged although many had started their wargaming as youngsters playing on the carpet.

Seasoned players did turn up with knee pads, however. I would certainly consider buying some if I were to become a regular player wink

Phil, you were there?

Where you involved with this game Phil?

We play FP at my club, but we do so on the tabletop. I'm curious about the ranges, etc. in the on-the-floor version.

I wonder where the organisers got them?

Sorry I missed your follow up question Cuchulainn.

Yes … I played … P.B.Eye-Candy which got Tangoed is my 20th century blog (I took the pics). The original Fletcher Pratt game was designed to be played on the floor. I think the version being played is the version published by John Curry (History of Wargaming) but I don't know all of the nuts and bolts.

Thanks Phil.

The version of the rules I have is in this book: link

However as I said, the ranges seem to be for the tabletop; I think I'm going to have to buy a copy of the book you linked to, to get a copy with the original ranges. Then the rest of the lads in the club may start buying some knee pads! :O>
