I'm about ready to release these long awaited characters. Sorry about the delay but I have a few too many irons in the fire. This is the first set in a new Pulp Figures Mystery & Horror range. The theme will be somewhat 'Agatha Christie meets Lon Chaney in a dark alley and agree to have lunch with H.P. Lovecraft providing he doesn't get all crazy with the tentacles as he can sometimes'. Next up will be a set of Investigator Companions. Inspector Chan's son is already sculpted. Every pack will have a set of small clues; artifacts, objects of interest and suspicious suitcases, etc.

Great stuff, as always from the Pulpmaster! These are just the kind of figures that would be excellent as Clue/Cludo figures instead of the simple markers that come with the game. Still need a couple more to round out the set though. If these are drawing room detectives what is the lady doing with field glasses? Looking forward to the next batch. Keep up the good work. |

If these are drawing room detectives what is the lady doing with field glasses? Peering out the windows at the neighbors? |

I'm with the shadow…. I can identify 3 of them but who is the top left with the S on his smoking jacket. Facially he looks like the dude from Criminal Minds. |
Joppyuk | 14 Oct 2014 10:44 a.m. PST |
I assumed he was Sherlock Holmes, but could be Sexton Blake. Would like a Gervase Fen or Dr Thorndyke. |

Bob, they do look great and I really like the clue set. Will these be available for Fall In convention coming in November? I really hope so. |

Absolutely superb sculpts, looking forward to seeing the rest of the investigators |

what is the lady doing with field glasses? She is Miss Marple as acted by Dame Margaret Rutherford, truly the best. Of course Agatha Christie hated her portrayal. Officially Miss Marple is a thin bitter old busybody, not a plump jolly lady. In her Miss Marple movies there was much outdoor activities… although all the real bits seemed to occur on camera indoors |

She is Miss Marple as acted by Dame Margaret Rutherford, truly the best. Nah, far too fat for Miss Marple. Miss Marple is a "little old lady". That figure is much more like Ariadne Oliver. |

I think I shall allow the assembled company to arrive at their own conclusions. Deduction and investigation are skills for miniature connoisseurs to cultivate as well. |

I think Sexton Blake is right. One of his novel covers has him in the red smoking jacket (Thank you google). Although I must admit I never heard of him before. |

Joppyuk and Ieidang It can't be Sexton Blake, or the monogram would be a "B". That's the way it was done in the old one letter monogram days. |

I declare he us Doctor John Silence, Physician Extraordinary simply because if his monogram and somewhat arcane seeming texts. ;) |

All I know is I can't buy these for a couple weeks while I'm moving. Grrrrrrrrrr! Lovely figures BTW. I like what you decided on for the clue bits. |

What book, chapter, page, and verse in the hand of S? BTW, nice font. |
The Shadow | 15 Oct 2014 7:17 a.m. PST |
>>I declare he us Doctor John Silence, Physician Extraordinary simply because if his monogram and somewhat arcane seeming texts. ;)<< Wow! Nice catch! I think that Bob should let us know if that's who he had in mind. |
M C MonkeyDew | 15 Oct 2014 9:02 a.m. PST |
It could also be Denis Nayland Smith from the Fu Manchu stories but I do not recall him being "bookish" |
The Shadow | 15 Oct 2014 11:20 a.m. PST |
>>It could also be Denis Nayland Smith<< Hmmmmmm…verrry interesting. But you're right about him not being "bookish". Essentially he's a cop and a man of action. It would be pretty funny though, if Bob meant it to be Sexton Blake and just used the wrong letter on the monogram. (-: |

Not Sherlock Holmes, even if he has a monogram with his first initial as he is out of date with the rest of them. Not Sam Spade as figure is too elegant and there is already such a figure. Not John Shaft as he is too modern and the wrong color. |

I think Doctor John Silence is a good guess. It appears to be a pentagram on the page of the open book, Seems to be a tome thst Mr Blackwood might have used in a story, |
