It's Breast Cancer Awareness Month again guys and gals. When you are asked to give a dollar at your local store, give that person a yes, I'd be glad to. I'm doing the Strides Walk in Columbus, Ohio and have raised over $800 USD so far. I lost a grandmother and an aunt. This is important people, please help. TIG

Thank you. My aunt is a two time survivor. I have daughters.

Great tie in between the cancer research & the TMP board. I'll be sure to keep an eye out for any donation opportunities.

My great aunt at 95, is undergoing treatment at the present time, but it's just to extend life.

Diagnosed a fortnight ago. I'm involved in care for her, as she lives at our house, with my mother, my grandmother, and the dogs… (we are keeping it secret from her, she has other serious illnesses as well, and doctor says she might just give up if she knows.)

Donations to beat this disease… Yes please.

Breast Cancer also affects men, so make sure to donate to organizations that provide cancer screening for both sexes.

And don't forget to have that wonderful prostrate exam! Prostrate cancer is the leading cancer killer of men.

Thanks for the reminder. It's definitely something to be aware of, and not just this month.

Thank you. Best use I have seen of the NMB board name, even if that has gone.

No losses among my family/friends, but I consider it a sacred duty to safeguard the world's supply of breasts.

Zyphyr: I could not have said it any better. Both profound and funny. TIG

I believe that is still lung cancer, but a great cause nonetheless.

Did the breast cancer walk today, didn't raise that much money, but did get some.

didn't raise that much money

1) You participated, I haven't. My thanks!

2) Small gifts accrue. Zero gifts don't. You are STILL ahead.

Between care giving and a bum knee, even short walks are a bit out of the question.

Need to start holding charity nights at the store again…

My final tally is in, and I raised $1,287 USD for breast cancer research. The walk is Sun. at 10 a.m. Thanks to all who have given, and you can still give until the end of next week. TIG
