Of interest to some I hope, Red Star Miniatures' excellent blog link now has pictures of a LVT-4 Buffalo Amtrac from Warlord Games painted up (apparently) for Dien Bien Phu.

A fantastic combination of Paul Hick's superb range of figures and Warlords excellent LVT. I am very impressed.

That is one helluva paint job… like, crazy scale-model-people worthy. Who are they? IPSMS?

Anyways, I am seriously impressed.

Lovely model but there weren't any amtracs at DBP!

I imagine they said DBP but meant French Indo-China. They certainly were used up in the Delta. A very nice piece of modelling!

Ain't their range for Indochina called Dien Bien Phu? Gives the confusion I guess

T'was the pedant in me….

The range is indeed called DBP, but is intended for the Indo-China war around that period in general.

I really can't say enough good things about these minis. If you have any interest in the period, buy them!
If you don't have any interest, read The Last Valley by Martin Windrow and you will have.
Can be had for a song on Amazon:
