Interesting, but it might be a bit big for X-Wing. The dimensions make it even bigger than the Falcon, I think.

The scale is correct for X-Wing, as I believe their ships are also 1/270th.

The "modeler" didn't know what they were doing.
That design is exactly the king of thing you should make hollow, which they obviously didn't.
It cuts the price considerably, and doesn't affect the structure.
