Has anyone had the opportunity to see any of the 20mm ECW/TYW offered by Hagen Miniatures in Germany? I saw the listing with some photos on the imperial-modelbauide site and was quite impressed with them. I am wondering how they would fit with the 20mm ECW figures from SHQ/Kennington and/or Tumbling Dice. Would like to correspond with people doing 20mm ECW in metal. Thanks – hal (halthinglum@aol.com)

My error apparently; the figures I am talking about appear to be Tumbling Dice figures. I am curious, however, as to why Kennington (SHQ) are so much more expensive than Tumbling Dice figures. Anyone know?

those ones link ?

from their own blog those are original sculpt made by themselves and match 1/72 plastics ones closely so should aswell nicely with kennington or tumbling dice ones.

They did them mostly for their rocroi project some years ago using wood block as greens.

their "own products" label with some 30YW figs:

" The the mixture of all available manufactors. We had a lot of metals from Tumbling Dice, Hinton Hunt and SHQ figures on the table together with some old Warrior and all the available Plastic manufactors."

Thank you, Ravachoi! I shall have to order some to see what they are like. The range looks very good.

Ravachoi – I checked the site again against the Tumbling Dice code numbers and they are the same; thus, they are Tumbling Dice figures.

erf , I failed by choosing period rather then manufacturer .

but if choosing on close period you may grab a few more figs from other manufacturers that fit with late period of the setting :
fritz figures 9 years war

aswell as cannons without crew from imperial modelbaun

I was misleaded into thinking them selling their own range for the period from this posts:

aswell as the italianwars range they beguin to sell under another brand name.

sorry to have raised false hopes on this one.

I suppose you already checked out mars plastic figures ( they own the most extensive plastic choice) , aswell as zevda and rewell ones .
I somehow remember that some german comp)àagny did 3O years war range aswell but I think I lost the links some years ago in a computer crash. I'll check out if I may have put it somewhere else still.

On price matter I suppose it might have to do with taxes in the country of manufacturing or how well range do sell.

Hi guys,

we have the Tumbling Dice range in our shop as well as our own figures. Paul from TB wanted to join us as we have the chance to put photos of his figures in his job. A thing that he can't do.

Beside the TD figures we have our system of the own production. Here we explain the system:

link

In money it means you pay around 25-28 Euro and for this money you get the master and the mould ready. You pay for your figures just 30 cent. We sell them in the shop for 95 cent and you get 40 cent as your share of the profit back. When we have sold around 60 figures you have covered your own costs.

the figures you put all the links on (Fritz-Figures is my own range) are all converted from 1/72 plastics, usually Zezda figures. So we have our owns for this period too and if you want special poses or units simply join our group of enthusiasts!

Irregular miniatures are much smaller then the average 1/72 figure.

And we sell worldwide, up to 100 figures for just 6 Euro in a registered letter. Cheaper as when you order from TD directly if you are living outside the UK.

cheers
Uwe

Glad I stumbled upon this thread. I have boxes of unopened Revell TYW and Conquistadors. Never enough pikes in these sets.
