"The present castle was built in 1330 by Baldewin of Luxembourg. In the new construction could be put on parts of earlier buildings, like this. e.g. the northern and southern basement wall of the palace. A tower block was also used as the round tower to the west of the Palas and a south-easterly round tower, which no longer exists. Whether this castle was destroyed in the tariff war in 1301 or earlier, is not clearly demonstrated. The old radio tower had its center in today's stair tower, a rest can be seen in the southwestern corner of the outer wall…"
