These are pictures from the German town of Meschede's annual celebration, circa 1959 (same year I was born!). Apparently they try to cover the town's entire 1000-year history. Entries include Landsknechts, 18th Century types, and Napoleonic uniforms: link |

That's a great bunch of photos. Looks like it was hot that day, some of the marchers appear to be lagging like the guy in the rear rank of grenadiers who has no bearskin hat on. Jim |
