Is there a manufacturer/seller of a kit or mini in 15mm or 1/100 scale of a Soviet SA2, SA3, or SA5 surface to air missile?

Thanks,
irishserb

Have you looked at QRF and/or Quality Castings, they are the only ones that I know of that make modern-ish Air Defense equipment.

Yes, I looked there first. Only saw SP systems at QRF. I thought QC might have had some, as they have some odd US systems, but no luck on Soviet SAMS. Was hoping that there might have been a plastic kit somewhere along the way.

No love from Command Decision, either.

I took a quick look at HLJ.com and they aren't showing anything in 1/100. Just the Zvezda kits.

No luck in 1/144 scale from HLJ, either.

Try Roco perhaps?

Matti's minis has a 1/144 SA-2 on Shapeways and he might be willing to upscale it: link

Apart from that, GRAN has SA-2 and SA-3 in 1/72 which might be useful if you are willing to settle with "bloody big Russian SAMs" stand-ins. On their ground mounts there is pretty much nothing that gives the scale discrepancy away, apart from the fact that you know they are 30% too big.

Thanks all. Wasn't aware of the GRAN kits, I appreciate you mentioning those.

I'm having a hard time finding a Roco SA2 model…

As big as the dang things are, I think I'd rather go 1/144 scale than 1/72.

Hi Irishserb,
I'm pretty sure Roskopf used to make a SA-2 and launcher in 1/100. I've tried to find a catalogue for confirmation with no joy. If you are patient on ebay one will come past.

Cosmic Reset12 Oct 2014 7:52 a.m. PST

Oh cool, Thanks! I'll keep an eye out for one.

Ah, I saw a Roskopf SA-2 in a militaria shop in Ste Mere-Eglise last year. I'd never heard of Roskopf til then, but bought what West German kit they had in the shop. Sorry, but I didn't have any use for the SA-2…
