Very nice work as usual, Anton!

Taking a break from the shipyards?

Lion, actually I built a 15mm freighter for my son right in the middle of this project, you can see it here link I have slowed down a bit with the 28mm stuff, I got a ton of sailors from TVAG and have been painting them. The sad part is that it takes me about three times as long to paint the crew as it does to build and paint the ship!

Not to worry though there are more on the way.

Very nice tramp freighter!

I totally hear you on the painting side of the house, I can crank out a platoon or more of 15mm troops in the time it takes me to paint a single 28mm Infinity mini!

I'm torn between Nile and China Station gunboats for my 15mm Colonial 'naval support,' though I will probably end up doing both.

My D-Day minis have revealed that a 1/1200 destroyer will look about right for scale distance from the shore (1/1200 DD 3 feet away is the same visual size as the real one ~900 yards away), and a 1/2400 cruiser will also be about the right visual distance (~1800 yards). I'd have to go to 1/4800 for the battleships, and I just don't want to buy any 1/4800 scale ships. Besides, the DDs closing to within 900 yards of the beach at Omaha to directly fire at the bunkers makes for a better story than the CAs and BBs turning the inland portion of the defenses into a moonscape.
