Does anyone have a copy of a 1st edition catalog for Minifigs? These are the ones cast in strips of 5 figures.

There were a number of Minifigs catalogues that predated the 15mm range, but yes I've got that one.

What do you want to know?

Here's at least some of the minifig info

Henry Hyde from Miniature Wargames with Battlegames used to have a PDF on his site from a complete early Minifigs catalogue. But is was certainly not the first, I think early eighties.

Sorry, I don't have a link. You might google "Henry Hyde".

I have a PDF of a Minifigs catalogue dated 1985.

There is no sign of figures in strips in it! All individual castings.

The first Minifig 15mm in strips came out about 1975/6/7? – I think. Trouble is, Minifig catalogues aren't dated. Armies of the Dark Ages figures are in the catalogue I have, that book came out in 76, they aren't in my 1973/4 catalogue

Thanks for the responses. I have a bunch of old Minifigs on strips and would like to identify them. I have the identification numbers for some, but many are loose figures not in boxes. The perfect catalog would be from about 1979 and include pictures with the ID numbers but any and all early Minifigs catalogues are of interest. A PDF would be perfect. I'm actually trying to sort my collection prior to painting them (it is really embarrassing to have my opponent on the table top declare that my Norman slingers are really Sumerian). And if I or my heirs ever go to sell them it is nice to be able to ID them correctly. It just occurred to me that I might be able to create my own photo catalogue if I can ID them all. If anyone could scan in their old catalogs and post the file online that would be perfect.
Thanks!

I have a webfriend who has sent me extracts of a Minifigs 1974 catalogue.

It did have details of the pricing for 15mm strips. 40 cents each, so 8 cents a foot figure.

I can ask him if there are details of the ID numbers.

Thanks again. The link posted by Black Cavalier is the same as the link on Henry Hyde's website ( link ) .

JimDuncanUK – yes, if you could go to all the trouble of detailing the ID numbers of the 1974 catalogue that would be most helpful.

I think I have a catalogue from circa 1988 somewhere in a box in the attic – I'll try to find it and scan it in and post it as a file on the Yahoo group Strip Minifigs Ancients.

I have a 1974 catalog (the pricing page is "effective April 1, 1974) with two supplements that came out later that year. The second supplement notes the 1975 catalog is in preparation.
The main April 1974 catalog lists 15mm strips at .40 cents each on the pricing page with each strip containing 5 foot or 3 cav. Page 23 has the 15mm strip listings and prefaces it by saying the infantry command stands have 2 officers, one standard, one drummer and one sergeant.
Napoleonics list has 33 infantry and cav strips and 5 artillery strips.
The English civil war list has 6 infantry and cav strips and one Saker field gun strip. That's all in the main catalog.
The first supplement contains more Napoleonics – 18 infantry, cav and command stands. Page two lists 11 Ancient strips and 6 more ECW strips of inf, cav and command strips.
Supplement #2 doesn't list any new 15mm strip additions.

Do the masters of these exists anymore?

I just tossed out dozens of game and miniatures catalogs which dated back to the 1970s. Next on my waste to toss will be all of my old convention programs which date back to the 1980s.
About 20 miniature catalogs left.
