Asked this question on the LOA forum and emailed the author but got no reply

played a game the other night and a question came up, unit A had a formed friendly unit nearby destroyed within 12 inches, the morale modifier section states a +1 if testing for friends destroyed and those friends were formed or in normal command when wiped out (inspirational effect)

is this correct I would have thought it should be -1 not a +1, seeing a friendly unit destroyed would put a dent in morale surely and would not be inspirational

any help appreciated

Is the +1 a modifier to the number you need to roll or to the actual die roll? That could be where the discrepancy is.

Just got a message from the author and it's a typo in the book it should read -1 and not a +1
