I just saw this thread on the Wings of Glory Aerodrome, that Shapeways has announced a new pricing structure for items made from White-Strong-Flexible (WSF) material. link That thread includes a link to a lengthy thread on the Shapeways site: link And here is the Shapeways blog post announcing the change: shapeways.com/blog/?p=18119 Not sure what impact this will have on your favorite models. It looks like some items will decrease in price while others will increase. |

So…now is the time to order those Curtis, Felixstowe's and other large aircraft, eh? |

I wonder if they will reduce the ridiculous postage costs too. |

For me, it means that my models in FD and FUD won't change, but anything people wanted in WSF will probably go through the roof. I have one item which will go from $6 USD to $30 USD and another which will go from $10 USD to $55. USD I'm going to play with the sprue and cage options to see if I can help keep those prices down. A lot of us shop-owners on Shapeways are unhappy with the change. |
