I have an Essex Austrian 15mm Napoleonic army bought back in the late 90s using Principles of war basing. But with a typical change of rules I need to add some figures to balance the army. However, Essex have gone and redesigned the range back in 2011 so there are no compatible figures available. Anyone else suffered similar angst? Anyone got some spare Essex figures? |

I ran into a similar situation. I'd like to add to my Essex 15mm French Napoleonics, but they went and redesigned all the poses to be all dynamic with lots of variety. I >liked< the old poses. I have not yet found a compatible substitute. Of course, my 15mm Prussian army is even worse off--it's Napoleonettes! |

You could always ask Essex if they have the old moulds and could run some off for you. Costs nowt to ask and I have always found them open to requests in the past. |

So asked AND they have the old moulds. I leaned a valuable lesson here, namely to do my research before gobbin' off in public. Now back to Mr Essex … |

Acually, Royal Marine, you've done a valuable public service. Many people (like me) would never even think to ask a manufacturer about old moulds! Good to know that sometimes this might be possible. |

Glad you got the answer you wanted RM. I have done this with several companies in the past- not always successfully but always worth asking. |
