As far as I know no one makes this in 15mm:

So I am thinking about using this set:

The idea being the caps are close, I can paint on long gaiters and the jacket would allow for some hint of the unique lace to be painted on even if the tails are missing and there is no waistcoat.

Does anybody have a better idea or suggestion?

Thank you in advance.

Peter Pig Hessian fusiliers from the Washington's Army range possibly with a British light infantry head swap?

Don't worry about the gaiters. The 28mm Perryvones do not have th. The coat will be your main problem.

I'm pretty sure that I used Old Glory 15s Continental State Militia in Helmets, with the front of the helmet filed smooth.

The problem with using SYW (or even AWI) German fusiliers is that you end up with the satchel-style packs instead of backpacks/tumplines. And then there's the moustaches……

I'd go with Continental light infantry (in coats) and file down the caps.
