I just got an email from Michaels.com with a tool that may be of interest to some on this board. It's a hand held 3-D pen that operates like a 3-D printer (there's a quick video with it.) The cost is $99.99 USD usd for the pen and 50 plastic 10" sticks in assorted colors. Refills are $9.99 USD for 25, 10" sticks in a single color.

As far as I know Michaels Craft stores are a US entity; I don't know if they have any stores outside of the USA. When I saw this I immediately thought of scenery, aliens or organic vehicles.

Answer… no

It's been mentioned before… it is basically a powered hot glue gun with a fine nozzle….

If you can make something out of it.. Then you could probably make something out of wire or string or rubber loom bands just as easily.

It might work well for scaffolding or giant spider webs.

There are Michaels in Canada.

I was thinking of getting one for making ship railing, but $99 USD seems a lot for that.
