I see there is no mention of the recent release of WasteLand 2. So much Post Apocalyptic goodness.

Wow, it only took what, 26 years? Still I'm excited. I hope this marks a return to old style RPGs, such as they existed before the Japanese style of RPGs took over the market.

Loved that game, heck I even live in the area it was set in.

St.Germaine called me-he downloaded it from Steam and is playing it already. I'll remind him to do a review.

Waiting for the inevitable sale :)

I backed it, but I'm gonna wait until the bugs are sorted out, the reviews are very encouraging however.

I've been playing this for a few days. Here's what I think IMHO.
Pros: Reminds me of Fallout 1,2 and tactics. Easily understood interface. Decent graphics considering it's not a big company production. Nostalgic feel and comic banter.

Cons: I feel channeled to go a certain way and I'd rather have a sandbox to play in. Random encounters are killers if you can't avoid them. Game would be loads more fun if encounters were challenging but not a losing proposition. Big disappointment is there is no way to avoid the nasty encounters once you are in them.

Still worth the $40 USD though for the nostalgic value.

I am a Kickstarter backer. So far I've gotten through the Ag Center without losing anyone, but there were some tense moments. I am finding the difficulty level okay, but the real problem is ammunition.

I really have to be careful how often I shoot. Not complaining, but just a reality of the wasteland. Most of my money at the beginning is for ammo. I just managed to scrape enough money together to get everyone Armor 2 and enough ammo so shoot about 60% of the time. The rest of combat is made up with melee.

Mine is too buggy to work. Fixes don't work,… waiting for a patch.
