A fella on BoardGameGeek posted this comparison from bolter and chainsword so I thought I'd pass it on, too.

The biggest change is that Space Marines no longer HAVE to fire in overwatch. That is huge.

One of the big tactics was to plunge a conga Line of Stealers at a lone marine to Jam his Bolter at longer range.

I will agree with the other poster in that thread that it is one heavy game.

You are getting something with it, because it is around 10 pounds at least.

But it costs too much at $150. USD You're welcome Mithmee.

Most places I have seen are selling it at about $100 USD, just like the last edition.

Mithmee21 Sep 2014 8:54 p.m. PST

Only cost $125 USD or $136 USD with tax.

Oh and try pricing 12 Terminators

Oh they would be around $150 USD+.

So the game is worth buying since you are getting far more stuff.

Only thing is that the Terminators in the Game are Blood Angels.

I prefer Dark Angels or Guardians of the Covenant.

But that is what a dremel is for.

Just bought one on Ebay for $150 USD including S&H so it's not bad price-wise as the game is over 10 lbs.

I have 3rd ed already but the new ed comes with new tiles and missions plus revised rules so I had to upgrade.

I already have all the minis so will either sell them off or convert them to fit my Ultramarines army.
