About 18 months ago I had the misfortune to be made redundant and, having been with the company for a long time, got a reasonable pay off from them.

As the money hit my bank account I resisted the opportunity to go on a wild lead related spending spree and instead decided to spend some of it on commissioning my own line of figures – something I've always wanted to do.

The figures were sculpted by the very talented Ebob and cast by Griffin. I've just received the first castings through the post and although I had planned to take proper photographs to go onto a new website before making them public I couldn't resist taking a couple of shots quickly to post them on here.

The figures come with separate heads (in Home Service Helmet) but I'll also be selling separate heads with Busby, Glengarry and Pillbox.

I'm hoping to get the website up soon, when I've had a chance to take some decent photos!

very nice sculpts!!! these chaps deserve h.g.wells 'little wars' rules or similar?

Those look quite excellent! Well done.

Will there be a line of enemies?

Le Queux19 Sep 2014 3:12 p.m. PST

@GoodOldRebel I'm planning on using Sharpe Practice

@MikeinNS not at the moment, I want to expand the British first. I'm happily using 1914 French for "what if" invasion games – the uniform hardly changed from this period.

Oh and cheers WarWizard!

Perhaps THE missing element in later 19th century minis! Great minis. I would be interested in acquiring some of these. Do you have a time frame for your product release?

Le Queux25 Sep 2014 11:33 a.m. PST

Thanks Tom, very kind of you to say so. At the moment I've just got a handful of castings to use for photographs etc. but I'm ordering a lot of stock on Monday.

I'll be working on the website over the weekend – hopefully uploading some photos and getting it ready to go live when the figures arrive from Griffin. Best estimate would be about two weeks.

I've painted a few figures for my own use – I'll try and get some pictures on here over the weekend.

Ok, so I had a go at painting a selection of the minis – don't think they came out badly at all?

Hope to have the website up by next weekend and then it's just waiting for the casts to arrive from Griffin!

These look great! Please post the website info as soon as you get it going. Thanks!

Talk about timing…. The other day, I was thinking that I could use some figures in home service dress for a brewing project. I wonder… would they be usable as royal marines? When will the website be up?

Le Queux18 Oct 2014 5:24 a.m. PST

Hi Lapeyrere, website is ready to roll, I'm just waiting on the figures to arrive from Griffin – not much longer hopefully!!

Any new developments here?

Le Queux19 Nov 2014 11:17 a.m. PST

Hi Tom, stock arrived last weekend so having now sorted it out I am aiming to go live this weekend. Hopefully all be done by Saturday night – will post an update on here as soon as it's good to go!
