Look to do a couple of Cold War navies but finding it had to pick up some of the smaller warships. Smaller as compared to the US Navy at least.

Any suggestions for the Vosper Mark 7 frigate or the Assad/Wadi/Laksamana corvette in 1/3000 or 1/2400 scale?

Do you only want the Libyan frigate?

No one, at least to my knowledge, makes the Libyan frigate in any scale. In 1/3000 you could substitute the Iranian mk 5, pretty close. A little conversion work and it won't be quite long enough but very close.

There are no 1/2400 Vosper mk 5 frigate models. The Navwar Amazon N180 or Alacrity N180A are the correct size for a mk 5 in 1/2400 but require modification, adding the Seakiller missile system, removing the Exocet launchers from N180A, a little superstructure carving evil grin

If you are fine with 1/3000 the SAAM (Vosper mk 5) N817 is available.

Yes it is the Libyan Navy. So looks like the Vosper is taken care of. Any thoughts on the corvettes in 1/3000.

Bit of a problem. I had thought Navwar did the Soviet Koni and the French Combattante III/German Type 143.

Evidently not. They certainly don't make the Italian Wadi M'ragh.

I was going to suggest using the Combattante III in place of the M'ragh. It would be a little small but reasonably close.

Denian do make the Koni, part number SO3, and a Combattante III, GR2, but they are harder to get. It's all snail mail. On the other hand I think they do better models.

To continue the Iranian SAAM is usable in place of the Libyan Combattante II.

Navwar makes a Nanunchka usable as the Nanunchka II and an Osa. Denian make both an Osa I and II. As I said I think they do better models and, if you have to order from them anyway, might as well get the better models.

Glad to hear Denian is worth the wait. I see an order put together over the weekend.
