Looking for some trees for Far East WWII Burma and China theaters. Any suggestions? Thanks, Doug |

The vast majority of tropical trees, including those in Burma, are deciduous hardwoods, so just use whatever trees you use for Europe. You can make is look 'Far East' by adding bamboo groves and verdant ferny things around the edges, paddy fields, bamboo bashas, open water tanks, temples, palm groves and the odd Buddha or pagoda. |

I like plastic aquarium bonsai trees for Far East games.
You can sometimes find them in pet stores, but you might have better luck searching on-line. They look even better when based and painted. It's not too much work -- spray paint flat dark green, then drybrush with successive layers of bright green and finally with golden yellow. auction Once painted, they seem to work equally well for other theaters. I've use mine for Peninsular Napoleonic and Carolinas AWI games in 28mm and they fit in nicely. |
