"My secret other life as a non-dashing government functionary" Topic

For those of you who don't know, our own Mexican Jack Squint, aka Howard Whitehouse, has just had another novel published-- ZOMBIE ELEMENTARY: THE REAL STORY. It features the adventures of a plucky group of children who encounter a zombie plague in their elementary school. Of course, none of the adults believe them, a common thread with all 4th Graders everywhere. None of the adults, that is except one, a harassed government functionary (and handsome devil) of an underfunded agency that concerns itself with paranormal events. Played by none other than myself.. not a facsimile of me, but the actual me. ZOMBIE ELEMENTARY is a fun, light read aimed at the young adult market, but adults will like it too (if you are a fan of Howard's literary style, as I am).

I hope you are at least getting a percentage of the royalties.

Of course he's not. He gets paid by the government to eliminate zombies (also werewolves, vampires and aliens). He can't receive royalties as well.

I can see where that would be a conflict of interest.

I'm pretty sure I found Bob Chicka of Evil Bob's Miniature Emporium in there somewhere.

I didn't find that character believable at all…

I tried to get as many people (and especially their kids) into the book as possible, though most of them come out badly.
