Am adding some audio to my All Quiet on the Martian Front games: the Spielberg 2005 War of the Worlds Martian 130decible horn sound. You can find it on You Tube at this URL

YouTube link

At the Start of the Martian turn, I will fire up the sound bite. When a Tripod kills something, same thing, the Horn.

that may not be wise, unless your playing with very forgiving people, id imagine it would get very old, and very annoying, very fast.

The first tripod and the ferry scene are the best scenes in that entire movie. IMO.

The horn almost made me poop my pants.

What SteelPenguin said.

If you go with it, though, you should keep the volume low, and you should really have an equivalent sound for the humans.

And what haywire said, too. The ferry scene was great. The rest of the movie, though, ugh.

Will set the volume on "11." Probably just for Kills.
What? Set the volume low? The Martian horn was the best part of the movie. The Horn deserves its own academy award for Audio and Best Actor goes to the first Tripod that stomped the town. Loved in when Tom C. dashes through the ex-person's ash cloud. When he shook his hair in the bathroom to get the people dust out of his hair and off his. See, how many times did your mom tell you to wash your face? It is starting to pay off. Now that's movie making.

Jeff Wayne's record original was far superior. I just thought they were trying order Pizzas in the movie ;)
OK I'm just flipping but its not that brill the older movie was just better with its hovering crafts the concept of the eyes bearing 3 and each being a primary,y clever.
The angst portrayal of TC saving his family was too smultchy and hackneyed, shallow writing ugh.
Cheers and Uuulalalala gents. Again MOO ;)
