The club I belong too had started a campaign game and after the Union being defeated once at Springfield, Missouri and the amphibious invasion of Wilmington, North Carolina a new strategic move set the stage for a new battle. Del made a smart move on the strategic map and set up a 2 to 1 advantage in troops at Springfield, Missouri. General Grant was set for his first battle. See the blog for the full description of this rather one-sided battle. moralroll.wordpress.com |

Looks good. Are you still using Mr. Lincoln's War? I note one photo seems to show a recon satellite over the field. |

I note one photo seems to show a recon satellite over the field. That's obviously a time probe sent by the Chrono Police trying to ascertain why history wasn't conforming to their records. Everyone knows the Confederates WON this battle. |

No vtsaogames we stopped using Mr. Lincoln's War. The rules are a modified version of a homegrown rule set called TBS. Depending on who you talk too it stands for different things. The member of the club who developed them calls them Terrain Battlefield System I think. Mr. Lincoln's War just never caught on with the group it didn't really seem to flow. The Satellite was from another game or perhaps that is how the Union knew so few troops were in Springfield and made that great strategic move. |
