Nice stuff, but the second photo looks more Bavarian than Norman.

Yes, and all European Castles look like Neuschwanstein …. similar to Disneyland ;-)))

Some pictures of the wonderful french town with timbered houses. Beuvron-en-Auge (Calvados)

I stand corrected! But those French houses sure look Bavarian! :)

Hmm, perhaps try google pictures with "bavarian timbered houses". Maybe you will find some differences …..

I envy your visit in Normandy. Isn´t it a fantastic place ??

Your Google picture link "timbered norman buildings" shows a couple of timbered norman houses.

But Attention !!! Here you will find also norman houses in britain. If you take a precisely look, you will find out, that there are many differences. The "british" norman houses will differ from normandy norman houses.

Timbered houses are a very interesting theme. So many different building styles and technics.

For example Germany. A bavarian timbered house is so much different to houses in Hunsrück-Region or Schleswig Holstein or Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Niedersachen etc etc etc ….
