Well done and something I have considered doing as well. Currently I have about a squad's worth of Space Marines painted up in the same color as Allied tanks with the star in the circle as their left shoulder patch symbol and then American flags on their right shoulder. I am doing the same for the Marine vehicles. I was going to do my Orks as Russians and in fact have given the Orks red skin instead of green. After all it is the Red Menace right!  However, considering your treatment I might make them German Orks in stead. For those interested in doing interesting things with their Orks check out these web links for some ideas: From Puppet:
