Unfortunately the poll is only about changing "Napoleonic Naval Discussion", but doesn't mention doing the same for "Napoleonic Naval Painting Guides" as mentioned a few posts down in this very discussion. Are we going to need a second poll for that? - Ix |

Ok I voted. There are currently 51 for and 15 against. I am dissappointed that the full extent of our request was not captured in the poll. What was put up is misleading, perhaps worded to elicit less positive response, like many political issues. Unfortunate! |

I don't think there was any ulterior motive. The wording of the poll is copied-&-pasted straight out of the OP. It's just unfortunate that the final wording of the poll doesn't also include renaming the "Napoleonic Naval Painting Guides" board to "Age of Sail Painting Guides". - Ix |

I thought the whole point was to have an age of sail board that incorporated all of the various period AOS naval boards. Not just renaming the Napoleonic Naval Discusion Board, what good does that do anyone? No wonder so many are voting no. It's 26 against now and 76 for. |

Uh, well maybe it doesn't actually incorporate any existing boards apart from Napoleonic Naval, because they don't exist. That's the problem. But the renamed board will be linked to from all relevant periods. |

The deciding criterion is a threshold of 50 "Yes" votes. The ratio is irrelevant. Since the threshold has been reached, the board should now become a reality, although one must always allow for a large Random Management factor. |
