More Armies Army Minis & DP9 mechs.
castrarunis.blogspot.com/2014/09/pax-brittania-part-2.html

Hello John Treadway, perhaps you can help.I got a Dslr & followed your tips re Aperature & Depth of field but the best pics I got were when I cupped my hand behind the models (i.e richer colours)I can't explain it as different other backgrounds did not yield as good as results

Thanks

Enjoy.

Thanks AA,
I'm quite happy with the results also.Imho the trick is to find the right balance between different makes & then use a colour scheme that fits them all together.I think this force would have looked nice also in a Sand/Brown scheme (like the British use in the Middle East)but I decided to do the Sovs in brown…. more on that later.

AWESOME! I've been plugging the use of DP9 gears as landmates/hardsuits for 15 mm for quite a while now. My Japanese force will be equipped with them.

You're right Tk there's nothing like a Mecha in Sci fi.
Just uploaded more photos on the Post.
For Japanese mecha I would suggest Void Shogun Bird of Prey, the models would fit the bill perfectly even if 28mm.

I took these in daylight at around 18.00 with a compact Fuji Ax600 & they're way much better than the previous ones.
