Resistance was broken at last, I convinced my girlfriend to try painting a figure. As my other minis didnīt suit her, we chose to (re-)paint a few Warhammer Fantasy High Elves – which was actually my firstpainted regiment 10 years ago ;)

Well, look how that turned out under my guidance:

More pictures and comparison to MY first effort are on my blog at: link

Thanks for looking ;)

Very nice job… I like your explanation of guidance and experience. But let's face it… she did a better job than you did :P

Thereīs no denying that fact, I know ;D

Rather nice job I think! Especially for a first time!

BG's girlfriend will soon be sending an email to her friends with photographs of her toenails and fingernails painted and saying "look what I got my boyfriend to paint." grin
She did an excellent job. Far, far better than my poor first efforts.

For 15 years I have been trying to get my sweetie to paint figures. Nothing. I thought maybe buildings? Nope.
It looks like you have a really good painter as well as a girlfriend. :)
More reason to keep her happy!

Well done! Did she have fun with it?

She did have fun and is going to paint more, though she explicitly restrained herself to fantasy figures – which is alright, I like to do some fantasy stuff every now and then between my regular military painting – and itīs probably understandable that this is not so much a girls thing ;)

Donīt think weīll be moving towards fingernails soon, she ainīt that kind of person.

Need to add a photo of the painter, holding her brush.

One word "Keeper"

Seriously, nice paintwork.

My wife (Gawd bless her!), likes to paint, but she is the "Scenery and Terrain builder" of us….she does the fences, trees, roads, etc…I paint the figures….

Be prepared- when you get married this will be one more thing that will stop.
