Beside feverishly finishing my Crimean War, I have decided to replace the civil war armies I had back in the mid 80s before my divorce. They were the stone mountain line in the old regimental packs. Replacing the 55 regiments for the valley campaign I thought would be impossible and impractical. I called stone mountain to see if they would sell me specific castings to reflect the original order of battle I had with the same figures. The man said sure, sent him an image from my I-phone, "can I get 100 of these to start with?" Got them in the post today, they are EXACTLY the castings I wanted, free of flash and very very clean. A public thank you and I will need about 1100 or so over the next 12 months. Great service. Well pleased.

They've been around for decades, so I imagine they are doing something right.

I'd also recommend their paints, although, living in Stone Mountain Georgia, I've always found it odd that they're based in Colorado….

Thank you for the kind comments. It was a nice thread to "wake-up" to this morning.

BTW, we do have mountains in Colorado and they have stone in them grin

I need to order some ACW colors and brushes from you to send off to a young un very soon. Look forward to doing business with you. I have one of your catalogs I think from the 80's before the internet days.

I guess I am the exception to others here. The customer service has really been poor, especially recently.
