I *hate* non-standard sizes!

John the OFM04 Sep 2014 12:00 p.m. PST

Just another bimbo with armor that doesn't protect any vital organs, and with her knockers hanging out for no discernible reason.

And why is she holding a potato?
And why is the real medusa on a shoulder pad?

Atomic Floozy04 Sep 2014 12:06 p.m. PST

It had to be a non-standard size to show off the detail on the greaves! :-)

Even though she is barefoot, why does she stand as though she is wearing high heels? I guess I wiill never understand fantasy sculpts.

"To be or not to be, that is the question…"

Beowulf Fezian04 Sep 2014 1:40 p.m. PST

No, this is not fantasy. It is soft porn.

"….and with her knockers hanging out for no discernible reason".

Actually, there are a number of reasons for them to be "…hanging out…", so to speak, with several being biologically driven in nature, e.g. attraction, distraction, etc……….

When I played soccer I always had shin guards. Trust me, it's vital.

OSchmidt05 Sep 2014 4:49 a.m. PST

I agree with John the OFM. Get out your calendar John.

Digging up a five-year old green for a miniature that Kabuki has been selling for I-don't-even-know-how-long. (Nearly five years, is it?)

Now that's true devotion to pointless spammy posting!

This board is NOT expicitely about 'novelties'.
I for me greatly appreciate how Armand shares his discoveries with us. Always interesting, very inspirational works of art when in a scale inadequate for gaming.
Keep on it, Tango!

"Digging up a five-year old green for a miniature…"

That I, and many others, probably have not seen or heard of before.

"Now that's true devotion to pointless spammy posting!"

As opposed to coming onto a thread to denigrate the poster rather than comment positively or negatively on the subject matter.

The placement of the "armor" may actually be for attack purposes rather than defense purposes. Also the Medusa head on the shoulder is also a weapon. The mounting board on her shoulder prevents the wearer from seeing and thereby being affected by the head.

Nothing new: 19th C. (& earlier) painters seized any opportunity provided by mythological

Probably because of Victorian prudishness prereaphaelites were specially prone to paint nude women:

And of course allegories by their nature belong to the realm of fantasy
