Actually, I hate that term, but is is rather creative and eovkes a nice image. So … what is the ratio of your wargaming time (tooth) to your time spent in prep work (tail)? I usually get one 8-10 hour game day per month and can manage a couple 2-3 hour sessions (usually with family). I probably put 2-4 hours four or five times a week (=16 times a month). Being generous, that's about 20:80 or 1:4. It sure doesn't feel like that. :) |

I don't get much painting done these days. Maybe 4 hours a week, unless I push myself. However I play an average of 2 3-4 hour games every other week. |

I try to game once per week (Thursdays mostly) for 2-3 hours. I spend roughly 10 hours per week painting, although very little of it is for me. Most of my activity is spent in contract painting (primarily 28mm WSS/SYW). So, my ratio is 1:3.3 at best and 1:5 at worst |

In the summer I do more gaming than I do painting. That reverses in winter. Difficult to quantify. Just about 12hrs. gaming per week. Time spent in prep can vary from nearly none to nearly 30hrs. per week. Helps to keep in mind I'm disabled so no job to worry over. Also that I'm old so the kids don't interfere either. And that war gaming is just about my only social outlet. Not that I'm complaining… |
