My kids and I are really enjoying Super Dungeon Explore but as a 12+ aged game it is a hard slog with my kids (it is a lot for the 8 year old boy). I would like something where they work together (against me is fine) but that is simpler and suitable for an 8 year old from a gaming family. I run kids games at cons and I used a modified IHMN last year that worked but I would like to try something with a real fantasy background. |

Have taken a look at "Songs of Blades and Heroes" by Ganesha Games? They also have a dungeon crawl supplement whose name escapes me right now.. 8) |

You could use the figures with Heroquest rules. That's a really easy way to go and the narrative makes it more interesting to the kids. |

Thanks for the tips I am looking at SOBH and the supplement Song of Gold and Darkness right now and they seem to fit the bill. |

If you are picking up SOBH and SGD, I suggest downloading my Deep Dark Dungeons unofficial supplement. It turns it into a more traditional dungeon crawl. link |
