Up to your usual standard, Piers! If you've run out of early-war Germans, does this mean it's time to start on the Afrika Korps? |

I don't recognize many. What manufacturers? SHQ makes some beautiful early war germans. |

None of the look like anybody is shooting at them, or expected to. |

Well thats cos I dont shoot at my figures. It chips the paint. Are soldiers always being shot at? All the time? Even recent videos show troops marching fairly casually in a combat zone.
I dont really want an army entirely of prone figures which is likely the only realistic pose for soldiers being shot at. I just like my toys to look nice, after all they are just glorified counters. |

Let us know when you have too many. |

I agree with Piers. What is realistic and what looks good on the table are two different things. A miniature painter needs to take some artistic license. In reality soldiers would be covered in mud or dust and all those beautiful details are not even seen. |

I think they look great. We'll done! |

The only issue I have is there are too many MP40s – something I'm sure Piers will rectify when he expands to a full 'Zug' level. My preference would be for troops 'keeping low' kneeling/crouched or bent double and with heavy loads of grenades and MG ammo – and Panzerfausts for later war. Prone figures are never very popular for many good reasons. Anyway – great paint job and I look forward to seeing these chaps in action on the tabletop. |

I already have a platoon. These are the NCOs. |
