Once the Italians took over Albania, they raised several battalions of infantry there. I think they wore fezzes (not Blue Fezzes, of course, or they'd have been doghoused). Anyway, I was idly looking at the Battlefront's Libyan Fucilieri, and wondered if they could be used for Albanians to support the Italians.

If anyone else has looked into Albanians and come up with a different solution, I'd like to hear about that, too.

Bernd Fisher, in his book "Albania at War", describes them as "blackshirt militia battalions". He mentions two units by name, the Tomori and Taraboshi battalions. No details on equipment or uniform, alas.

Check out google images, plenty of black and white pics, fez appears to be white or light grey

The Albanians do wear a traditional white fez-type cap, the qelesh, as below. Perhaps that's it?
