I remember her 'fitting out' in the Tyne during the Falklands War. I was a cop working the south side of the river and we were tasked with doing regular 'security' checks along our side of the river re a possible sabotage threat. One evening I came across a man with no ID docs taking pictures of the ship, and duly asked him to 'accompany me to the station'. He did, and we eventually established that he was the official photographer from Swan-Hunter shipyard, who had arranged to take some night photographs of the ship illuminated from the interior. He was very good about it, and the result was he provided me with some rather nice black and white pics of Tyne built warships (HMS Kelly, HMS Ocean and some others) from the archives.
