Back in May when Warlord Games was having their "sprue" sale I ordered the following:

3x Pike & Shotte Command Sprue for $5.65 USD each
3x Pike & Shotte Infantry Sprue for $6.40 USD each
6x Japanese Infantry Sprue for $4.00 USD each
6x Pike & Shotte Riders Sprue for $2.50 USD each
6x Pike & Shotte Horses Sprue for $3.25 USD each

My order arrived promptly (shipped 30 May)and according to the inventory sheet everything had shipped, however I had only received 5 of the Japanese Infantry sprues instead of the 6 I paid for.

I promptly emailed Warlord Games (10 June) and received an automated reply that a real person would contact me soon. On 18 June I received an email From Ben Bentley of Warlord Games US that the missing sprue would be shipped promptly. Upon my return from Historicon (where I bought some more WG Japanese) I realized I still hadn't received the sprue and email Bill directly (24 July). No answer.

So on 18 August I emailed both Bill and the customer service about my issue. I received the same automated email and then a few days later I received an email from Dave Lawrence (again from WG us not UK) apologizing for the mistake and again stating that the sprue would be sent out right away. He also offered me a 20% discount on my next order.

Well its been over a week (well almost 4 months really) and I still don't have the item I paid for back in May. Now I know its only $4 USD but if they can't get my first order figured out in this amount of time there's no way I'm ordering from them again, even with a discount.

Really? Thousands order from them hassle free so you would be pretty bonkers to pass up 20% because of one sprue being missing.

Have you contacted warlord UK and asked them to intervene before posting here?

I agree it is pretty poor form, but I have had little problem with them in the past. I would ask again to see if they can confirm shipping.

I'm also going to say that I used to wait months for an order… from most of the firms in the eighties.. so a few weeks isn't really that much of a deal.

I say that if your experience were somewhat unusual you might be out of place. But Warlord Games is starting to make a habit of just such poor service. I hope this gets resolved soonest…

Thousands ordering hassle free doesn't mean anything to the guy who doesn't get his stuff.

And everyone makes mistakes. You say you'll send the missing item, all good. Send it. But "fed up" is appropriate if he has made as many attempts as reported here.

Happened to me with an electronics device. Finally mailed it to the CEO because no matter what I did, tech support just said "reboot it." Been there, done that, got the t-shirt. My wife loves hers, so does my daughter, and several friends. That love won't make mine work…

Had a problem with them about a year ago, excepted mine came from the UK. Bought a sizeable amount of the FIW items, a box of the Natives and about seven or eight blisters. Got the order and was shocked by the size of the box which should have given me the first clue. Openned it to find the natives all nice in their box and one of the eight blister(with a miscast figure), no notes or anything. Then there was about three large bags with one figure in each which contained one of the five/six figures from the various missing blisters. Quickly I emailed them, got the automated thing and about three days later someone replied saying "we are sorry and sending out the rest of the order." About a week later got another box, containing all but two of the blisters, one random blister of something I didn't order and again no note saying "we are out of stock of X blister." Plus nothing about the miscast figure. So I emailed them again, waited, got a reply, week later the last box finally had the last two blisters and a brand new blister with a proper cast figure.

Problems happen, we all get that. I don't know how many orders they might take in a day but with the amount of time and money they spent trying to get my order right I'd think they would have saved more by just checking twice and packing once. Yeah I ended up with more things then I first ordered, but maybe I didn't want more. It really felt like someone saw a bag with a miniature that looked right, threw it into a box and put a shipping label on it.

About four years ago, whenever they first came out with their plastic Roman starter box I ordered it and a few blisters. Not only did it arrive in lighting time but they threw in an extra figure. Total oppsite of what I dealt with last.

I really hope your missing spure turns up.

I just had a missing part in an order and it only took 1 week for them to get the part to me from the UK to the US. Hope yours comes to a good resolution.

@Razor78 – I'm sorry to hear of your issue – I've recently taken-over Customer Service duties at Warlord Games, and just came-across your post.

If your issue has not yet been resolved, could you please send me an email to info@warlordgames.com, and I'll ensure that the issue is resolved as soon as possible.

I admit that we have had some issues with being slow to respond in the past – however I'm working to ensure that we improve our communication and the speed with which we resolve any problems which you may have.

Thanks, and my apologies again for the issue.
