Tame Thy Swans28 Aug 2014 2:18 p.m. PST

I have been thinking since reading the neanderthals thread earlier today to start a prehistoric tribal conflict game. I it got me thinking that I could display the conflict that must have happened between pure european neanderthals as they migrathed from the ice age and african homosapiens that moved north from africa. There are good range of "caveman" models availble in 28mm that would be suitible for pure european neanderthals but what should I use for homosapiens? I was thinking to actually use "modern" african models, so long as they are generically primative (not obviously zulus or such), the skin clour between the races should create all the difference needed to tell them apart on the table top? Cro Magnon tribes are the hard ones though, maybe paint neanderthal models with mixed toned skin, maybe there's an obvious range out that I am over looking? let me know if you thing of one.

Good starting point was/will be the Lucid Eye Neanderthals and Cro-Magnon ranges which were carried by NorthStar but sadly no longer.

Possibility they are being picked up by the company name eludes me at the moment. Will let you know Tame Thy Swans when I find out.

These are very nice detailed figures.

There are both Neanderthal and Cro-Magnon miniatures available from Savage Core (as well as some other, more fantastic, offerings). They're sold through Warlord and possibly elsewhere. These might be the Lucid Eye ones referred to above?

And I've just realised the extent of my necromancy. Shame on me. :(
