Ok, I play tested it at GENCON2014 and it was really a quick one becuase the booth was friggin nuts the entire weekend. I picked up my own set yesterday with two expansions. got home and popped open the boxes and everything is really top notch. The models look great, the boards are perfect and the cards are top shelf as well. The stylus thingy hooked rigth up to my Ipad 4 and my Iphone 4S. I ran thru the tutorial and it was pretty well done. I am still figuring out what to look at while playing, the ipad or the board but I am sure that will change as I get more comfortable with it. I was really on the fence about this when it was on kickstarter and wanted to see it in person. Glad I did. if you get the change check it out. CW golemarcana.com |

Looks awesome…thanks for the heads up! I was hoping something like this but scifi oriented would appear one day. This is a good first step. |

Thanks for sharing. Didn't realize it but this was being demoed at the FLGS (I didn't have long to watch) last weekend. The rulebook/e-referee helping keep players from misinterpreting rules is a real plus. My concerns are tablet expense and the electronics (minis/stylus breaking) of the whole thing but I'm sure it will have mass appeal. Will watch again the next demo day and get more info. |

the the minis have no electronics. they have a infoband around the base that allows you to do their commands. but there is also a card for each golem with the same info on it. which is the way I played. for example to move: tap the golem's card ( you dont actually have to tap just get close) then tap where you want to move on the board and hit confirm. If its a valid movment you are good if not you get a big "doink" sound. Combat is similar tap the golem's attack then the target. give you hits probablities and the like. you can have the ipad roll the dice or you can and input the results. its really pretty slick. With th ebase cost at a discount online place at around $55 USD I am not sure a replacement stylus would be that much. they already ahve a pretty robust expansion release schedule. |

Sounds very cool. Do my best to watch for this at FLGS. |

So what about those individuals who do not have a "smart phone" and never will? |

I also played at gem on with my 4yo. Pretty easy to pick up. The models are nice. Certainly need more than the starter 3 figs per side to get play diversity. |

no smart device means you wont be playing this game. |

If you are at PAX and you want a demo, come to Room 208 in the convention center. Green Ronin and Monte Cook Games are also in that room. |
