I had finally gotten around to it, wanted to list my *many* metal Kasrkin Stormtroopers for sale, went over to the GW website to see what they are going for nowadays, and they are missing from the GW website. As if they are OOP. Like, a search of both those terms comes up "NO RESULTS FOUND." Any GW fans out there have anything about this? I mean, I know they re-named the IG so they can trademark it, so a search of "Imperial Guard" will give the NO RESULTS FOUND, but they did not do away with ANY of the models when renaming… And I know they now have newer models, "Scions," (probably to trademark THAT too), but I do not have a codex – do these Scions completely replace the "Stormtrooper" and "Veteran" slots that Kasrkins and other Stormtrooper models used to fill? So.. basically trying to encourage/nudge "formerly IG" players to buy all-new models by taking the others off the site completely? |

IIRC the Scions are basically Stormtroopers. Damon. |

So.. basically trying to encourage/nudge "formerly IG" players to buy all-new models by taking the others off the site completely? and that surprises you best I can say is check ebay to see what they are going for |

Well, Grey Ghost, what surprised me was that, "other-metal-models-that-I-would-have-expected-to-have-been-taken-off-to-encourage-people-to-buy-all-new-ones," have NOT been taken off, so, yes – that DOES surprise me. Mordians, Valhallans, Vostroyans, Steel Legion, Tallarn, all metal, all still up on the site. My *real* sin is not surprise, it is expecting any kind of logic, reason or predictability with GW. |

In answer to your questions: Yes, the Kasrkin Stormtroopers are OOP and were pulled by GW so they won't compete with GW's new plastic Scions. Yes, 'Scions' is the new name for 'Stormtroopers' just as 'Astra Militarum' is the new catch-phrase for IG. The good news is, because they're OOP and many people like myself still prefer them over the new plastic Scions, they tend to fetch a higher price than before on EBay. However, many people know this and are selling off their Kasrkin collection. I would advise timing your listing wisely so as to avoid driving prices down via oversaturation. |

Actually, the only gamers that have contacted me as being interested are also low-balling the HELL out of their offers; like $1 USD-$1.50 per figure. AINT NO FRACKING WAY, I have over 50 and I'd paint them in all different camo schemes and use them as commission advertising before I'd let them go for that little. |

That's way too low. They were going for $30 USD to $40 USD bucks per 10-man squad not long ago. Are your figs primed or missing any backpacks? Here's one that ended just yesterday, and that's about as low as it gets on Ebay: auction |

All bare metal, with 5x melta, 5x plasma, and on the whole, missing ten (basic) backpacks out of 50+ figures, everything else there. And the ten figures that were missing the backpacks I got for about $2 USD per figure off eBay and justified to myself that I would press-mold a front and back half of backpacks, trim and glue together, but – that was for personal use, and back when I had a plan for these, and before I needed to trim down the mountain of lead and projects… |

Like anything, it varies by customer. I wasn't a fan of the kasrkin or the previous 'movie-sarduakar' stormtrooper sculpts and instead used to have to hunt around for the OLD stormtroopers (the beret wearing ones). With the Scions now out I don't have to, and I can also use the multitude of extra bits from the Scion box with regular IG figures to bulk up the ranks :) |

@bob runnicles. Agreed as to each customer varies. I prefer the sardukar and kaskarin. Recently picked up some sardukar at about 3$ per fig. Feel that is a reasonable price for a oop chunk of metal sculpture i like. |
