After a break in hostilities (see the previous blog post for excuses) I've painted some Baden Light Dragoons:

Beautiful unit, Michael. Hard to believe that they are 10mm!
The colors of the Baden Light Dragoons are rather unique, and as you note they saw a fair amount of action in 1809.

I have had the Baden Light Dragoons in my sights for some time, to go with my Pontoonier Bsdeners. I doubt anyone will do them in their own right, so like you they will most likely be a paint/minor sculpting conversion of some Bavarian Dragoons/Chevau-Legers. I am hoping that Perry will tackle the Bavarian Cavalry before long so that I can appropriate them as Badeners!

Amazing, you would never know them to be 10mm by just those pictures.

Thank you, Rich and Peter.

Peter, Another way of avoiding a cuff conversion is, of course, to give them gauntlets, which they should have anyway. Luckily there are several 1809 illustrations. Unfortunately, these don't always agree. There appear to be several versions of colour scheme – saddle cloth and jacket – perhaps the imaginings of a Knőtel colourist for one?

Surely Perry will add cavalry to their stunning new Bavarian range?

Jacobite Miniatures makes (made?) Badeners in the crested helmet in 15mm. They are (were) pretty nice figures.

I guess they were just infantry going by this list:
