Wow, I've not heard of this game, but it sounds like the kind of thing my group would play. How does it compare in complexity to Song of Blades and Heroes, which is kind of our club benchmark? Also, how many pages is it? |

I'll have to let someone else field part of that question since I haven't played that one. That being said, in the test run for the original FiveCore system, one of the beta testers said he'd introduced it at his club, and after 3 or 4 turns, the players were running it themselves. The campaign parts can involve a fair few dice rolls, since you have to decide what each character does and then roll for the outcome, but it's not too bad. On the battlefield, it moves pretty snap. Shooting is in most cases rolling two different coloured dice, and seeing if either is a 1 or 6. |
