The Essex Mongol line includes a code "MOA2 Mongol: Heavy Cavalry with lance & bow". It's an armoured rider on an unarmoured horse. There's also a variant code "MOA2a Mongol: Extra Heavy Cavalry with lance & bow", which unfortunately has no accompanying picture. Anyone knows how it differs? (I've sent a query to Essex, but they've not replied in a few days now.) |

I believe he's riding a T-34. |

His horse has lamellar armor. I think it just covers the head and front of the horse, but I can't remember. |

"Extra Heavy Cavalry" is an old WRG Ancients classification that has the cavalry horse with metallic armor on the front half of the horse, or all around with heavy felt or leather. Essex dates back to when WRG was the only game in town, so they followed that lead in marketing the horses. |
