Hi all,
After getting back from holiday, I have now finished the Dutch brigade in the German Division with the addition of the 2/4th Infantry

This just leaves the Baden infantry and artillery components to finish off. If you would like to know more, then just follow the link to JJ's

These looking great.
One remark though, afaik the voltigeurs had no yellow collars. They had white (or sometimes facing colour is shown).

Cheers guys, thanks for your comments.

DdL, you might be right although as I stated in the post for the 1/2nd regiment the references on the Dutch in Spain are often contradictory with some not even agreeing on the units that made up the composite regiment.
I have chosen to follow Digby Smith's "Napoleon's German Division in Spain" which has a Bob Marrion plate of a Voltigeur from the 4th as I have Ilustrated, under which he states that they followed French custom of having collars in "buff" regardless of regimental facing colour.

Jonathan,
I can't imagine there is any contradictory with the units numbers, although renumbering the battalions so that in Spain there only remained the 2nd regiment is confusing. (and changing of facings is imho doubtfull)
Regarding the collar colours, almost anything goes but a yellow collar isn't know (I must admit, up to now :-) )

Hi Jon,
Another excellent example of your ability to make, if not a silk purse then at least something presentable from what are very much "sow's ear" figures! Well done!

Hi Malc,
Your very kind sir. The Dutch are not the best figures in the Warmodelling range, but I hope I've shown that they can be adapted with a few head transplants and a bit of modelling putty to stand side by side with the other better figures in the ranges.

I have decided to use the Warmodelling Baden infantry to complete the division, as what figures to use seemed to cause quite a discussion. So the whole division will be Warmodelljng give or take the odd figure.

Cheers

Jonathan
