As a bit of before-you-go-back-to-school fun, I have been running my daughters (ages 13 and 11) through the latest incarnation of Gamma World. Nothing fancy yet, just the basic adventure from the boxed game. My older daughter is happy to play, but my little one LOVES it. So, hopefully we can finish up the adventure before they leave for their mother's place Thursday. And even more hopefully, they will want to continue after school starts…

Gamma World is some good stuff, glad you are able to get you girls to play with you.

Ahh, Gamma World. I cut my rpg teeth on Gamma World back in 1983.

I hope the adventure continues with you and yours!

I really like the new version, we've played it here with our kids and had a blast. Very fast paced, beer and pretzels.

Gamma World is pretty much my favorite RPG.
The first game I ever played was using a borrowed character sheet in HS (I hated not making my own characters back then but still had a blast). What clinched the game was the awesome GM. I suspect we could have been playing Strawberry Shortcake Adventures with this guy running it and we'd have still loved it.

D&D 4e Gamma World was a very cool update. I know many folks disliked the board gamey-ness of it but I thought it worked very well. Since every edition of D&D seems to generate a new GW, I'm looking forward to Gamma World Next.
