Hiya Folks,

I've always wanted a proper 3D hirsts arts heroquest board and so I've finally taken the plunge and got stuck in. So far, I've cast all the tiles I need and mounted them on 6mm MDF ….

Obviously I've got to repaint the grey tiles and then paint the rest in proper heroquest colours. Once that's done, it'll be time to start adding wall and doors etc.

So guys, what do you think?

Mel

Ps – I'll be covering the build on my youtube channel, feel free to check it out …. YouTube link

As a massive HQ fan, I always love seeing projects of these types. It also makes me extremely jealous that I don't have the resources to pull it off myself!

Thanks gents, just a little crack filling tonight, I don't have the solid tile mold and want to use the cracked tiles for the boards corridors. A little bit of filler and now I've got some solid tiled rooms!

Got the corridors painted up …

Basic dark grey base coat …

Light grey (with a tint of brown) drybrush …

Corridors laid out after being weathered ….

The weathering was done with Modelmates sprays ….

There's a tutorial on how I did it here …

Hope you like them folks, next up the individual rooms, more photos coming soon … hopefully!

That looks really good, but it has got to be heavy.

I just wish there were paints or a way to let you use dry erase markers on those tiles for DnD ( My group draws spell effects, tracks hit points etc on our gridded whiteboards that we play on).
