I have a substantial number of AWI 6mm painted and ready to base and Black Powder AWI, which I just picked up, seems perfect for what I want to do but I'm a bit uncertain on basing.

Has anyone done AWI in 6mm for Black Powder or FIW for that matter. If so, how did you handle large and small units?

Thanks for your help.

Yes, I put 8 infantry to a base. Three bases to an infantry unit.

They look great in line or column. I have enough distance between the ranks so that when they are in column there is equal distance between all the ranks.

3 cavalry to a base, three bases to a unit.

These pictures are from the shop that painted and based for me. If you send me your email through PM I can send you some pictures of the troops in column tomorrow.

If these look like the way you want to mount figures, let me know and I will look for the email and give you the exact base dimensions and instructions if I can find them.

And some instructions relating to them:

>
> A thin base was used.
>
> As to the size of the bases I would like them based as follows:
>
> infantry 2.5 cm x 2 cm ( Two strips to a base as illustrated by the
> attached photo)
>
>
> artillery 2.5 cm x 3 cm (One gun to a base)

>
> Customer has written 6mm AWI British & Rebel Army infantry
> we needed to base 2 strips on (2.5 Cm* 2 Cm) Bases. So, now my question is
> will we keep any gap between 2 strips or not?
>
>
> When you ask about a gap, do you mean between the first and second ranks?
> If that is the question I would like a gap. Please mount them as the
> infantry in the attached photos so that when the infantry is in column the
> distance between the rows is equal throughout the entire column. The
> infantry, cavalry and artillery in the photos are all Baccus and on the same
> sized bases as my requests so please use them as a reference as to spacing.

> How many skirmishers on a base? There is no space to add them to the
> infantry bases. So they would be separate bases. Perhaps 4 to a base?

> That sounds great. Could you please put them in two staggered lines?
