There is a heated debate on Frothers, complete with links, official stats, and charts, and they have detrmined that I SUCKED as a RB for the Canes! And thus I suck in general (a rebuttable presumption)

"I only" averaged 6.6 yards per carry! According to Frothers! (it was a LOT less than that, more like 4 YPC, but they are….well…you know, pieces of , and have difficulty reading) Those s saw the RECEIVING yards per game at 6.6, as these are just , who couldn't tell the difference between YPC, YPR or GPA (much like Free Shoes Administration)

Also falsely noted ZERO touchdowns! 17 TDs, to be exact! Big difference!

They are actually debating how bad a 6.6 yard per carry average is for a RB in REAL football, and most determined that it is so bad, that said RB has ZERO standing as a human being.

I bet if it was Altius, LOL, who gained 6.6 yards walking in a day, they would circle around him and….uh……."hug" him! :)

Pretty sure that today, ANY college RB that averages 6.6 (or 4) YPC is a first round draft pick?

BTW, I won a NCAA National Championship in tennis. Those Uncle ers didn't bring THAT up, I notice. :)

As much as it pains me to back you, I am minded to recall that 'Four yards per play will win the day' was a much used mantra until the increasing emphasis on the shotgun/spread set/West Coast Offense passing game.

Also AFAIK for receiving the ideal is still RB's – 6yds per catch, Tight End's/Flankers 12 yds per catch and Split End's 18 yds per catch. Only top pro's come near those stats mind.

I just had a look and it was one post that mentioned your stats , I don't think that qualifies as a "heated debate. " However, looking at your stats they were pretty good to be fair.

I'm sure you know the Oscar Wilde quote, the one that starts

"There's only one thing worse than being talked about…"

And if, as Princeps says, it's only one post, methinks the man protests too much.

Altius has come to my (errr, the OFM's) defence on Frothers so I will do the same here.
He lived in the area for a few months and was a semi regular at our games.
He brought a case of Yuengling lager and do I will hear no calumnies against him.

Basically on Frothers he said I was not as big a Yahoo in person as I am on line. I thought that was rather nice of him. . In fact he said I was often the voice of reason here on TMP. I call that rather selective reading…
So I will return the favor and say he is a nice guy in person.

Hi Jurgen, the reason that smokeyroan is still posting when someone like you or me or any other European would have been dog-housed is because he is one of the sacred circle of Bill's GOOD OLE fan BOYS, along with the other elite like OFM, Rebel Yell and Texas Jack. This is not a knee Jerk reaction, I have watched this and monitored it for several months, and there is definitely a two tier society on TMP. What the answer to this is I don't know,but it is NOT to quit and join Frothers. There are some great people on TMP and they have some fantastic knowledge and are the source and inspiration of my hobby, I won't let a few inner circle sycophants drive me away and stop me communicating with them. My advise to you is stay here (In my opinion you are one of the good guys) and either bite your tongue, or say what you want and do your time in the doghouse. There are two positives to the latter course, 1, you will get more painting done, 2, at least you won't have Smokeyroan and co for company. All the best, Glen.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with your view of what is happening on TMP.

For me, the use of the term "" is way beyond anything that is acceptable; I realise that I am particularly sensitive to its use because of my family history but surely any rational and decent person should realise that its use is unacceptable.
