Although I have several WW1 rulesets one I never picked up was bloody Picnic

As I like large scale games is it worth getting as I already have GWSH2?

Any reviews and thoughts would be welcome

I've been eyeing this one up too, so I'll be interested in this thread. I'm sure I heard it was purely Western Front though, when I once inquired if it would work for Palestine.

The rules have two scales: 1 stand = 1 platoon and 1 stand = 1 company. Figures can be based in group on a stand or individually, there are rules for both ways. They cover all aspects of the war including communications, barrages, gas, tanks, aircraft, weather, etc… some parts, like communications, can be ignored and you play only the basic rules. There a 3 scenarios, a random scenario generator and a sample army list for 1914.
There's also a scenario supplement for 1918 with 12 scenarios for the western and italian fronts, with army lists. And another supplement for 1914 France.
I haven't played them but they seems a quality product, the layout could be better because there are too many photos and parts of the rules are introduced first and elaborated later. At first readings I found it a little confusing. But at the end they look very straightforward and the QRS contains all informations needed to play in 4 pages.

Thanks for that. So far I've been really impressed with Partizan Press stuff, I really like it.
